Google My Business May Introduce Premium Features for a Monthly Fee

Google is distributing surveys to understand people’s interest in paying for premium Google My Business features.

Sean Butcher was the first to notice the survey and share it on Twitter:

> Anyone else get this bananas questionnaire from GMB today about updated features and pricing for those features? #GMB #Maps #LocalSEO

The full survey can be accessed online, but it may take some time to complete, so plan accordingly.

The survey starts with some qualifying questions to understand how much money your business typically spends on advertising annually. It then introduces potential new Google My Business features that Google is considering offering as premium services.

All subsequent questions in the survey relate to these features, asking users to select which ones they’re most and least interested in.

### New features listed in the survey include:

– Google customer support
– “Book” button on your business profile
– Promote your “Book” button
– Verified reviews
– Promoted map pin
– Call reports and recordings
– Verified bookings
– Automated message responses
– Automated response for reviews
– Google search results placement
– Get leads from competitor profiles
– Background check
– Instant quote
– Request quote
– Offers
– Featured review
– Google Guarantee
– Remove ads from your business profile
– Verified licenses
– Video on your business profile

After selecting your most and least preferred features, the survey creates mock-ups of subscription packages and asks you to choose which one you prefer.

The survey then displays the cost per month for each package.

The rest of the survey involves repetitive questions about which packages you like and how much you would pay for them.

Google appears to be seriously considering offering premium GMB features through subscription bundles. This survey aims to gather information about which features users are willing to buy and how much they are willing to pay monthly.

Whether this idea will be implemented depends on the survey responses. If you have strong opinions about premium GMB features, make sure to let Google know by filling out the survey.
