SEO for Paws launched earlier this year, with the initial event attracting 300 attendees for five hours of continuous live streaming.
To continue its positive impact, the next event is scheduled for September 25, 2024.
This charity event features a live-streamed fundraiser with a remarkable speaker lineup that includes some of the industry’s leading SEO professionals such as Aleyda Solis and John Mueller.
SEO for Paws is the passion project of Anton Shulke, who is dedicated to organizing live stream events to support a charity close to his heart.
After the conflict began in Ukraine, Anton, who was living in Kyiv, managed to escape the city. Despite his circumstances, he continued to support his favorite charity, focusing on the many pets left behind in Kyiv when the war started.
At the previous event, Anton impressively raised $6,000, which directly supported four shelters and over 300 cats and dogs.
This network of small animal shelters relies entirely on donations as they receive no government funding or support from major charities.
Shulke shares:
“Before the war, I tried to help those small cats and dogs shelters, but just a bit.
We are talking about super small shelters, 30-100 animals, they are in private flats. Sometimes in tiny flats, like one-bedroom or even studio flats. And the owner lives there; often, it is family.”
The war worsened their situation, with increased animal abandonment and scarce resources.
Though facing personal hardships, Shulke has remained dedicated to Ukraine’s small, donation-dependent pet shelters and vulnerable animals.
Anton is well-known for his love of cats. Dynia, who traveled across Europe with Anton’s family after escaping Kyiv, frequently appears on his social media.
One of the animals benefiting from the generous support of the SEO community is a small Pomeranian dog found frozen to the ground and covered in snow.
A kind passerby, mistaking him for a fur hat between parked cars, took him to a clinic.
The little dog was seriously ill and, even with treatment, had only a 30% chance of survival. The treatment cost $800 just for the first night. After a Facebook appeal for help, funds were raised.
The woman who found the dog took him home. Though he survived near death in a war zone, he had to spend the night hiding in the shower to avoid her resident cats!
Her children named the dog King Arthur, believing that such a regal and proud name would inspire him to recover fully.
King Arthur continued treatment for a month, with regular tests and care. Whenever funds were insufficient, the woman’s neighbors and Anton stepped in to help.
Without the generous support from Anton’s fundraising efforts through SEO for Paws, King Arthur might not have survived.
