Google clearly aims to integrate Google Assistant seamlessly into daily routines, as evidenced by another update to its Google Allo chat app.
In the latest version of Google Allo, available now for Android and coming soon to iOS, users can access Google Assistant with a single tap.
When composing a message to a contact, a Google Assistant icon will appear, allowing users to bring the AI-powered virtual assistant into chats with friends.
This enables users to utilize Google Search to share photos and videos, look up restaurants, settle debates, and more.
The newest update to Google Allo is part of Google’s ongoing efforts to make Google Assistant more accessible, including its rollout to all modern Android phones.
### Other New Features
Alongside easier access to Google Assistant, the latest version of Google Allo for Android enhances its GIF and emoji functions.
When composing a message, users can now search for the perfect GIF by tapping the new smiley-face icon and scrolling to the far right to access the GIF search engine.
Additionally, Google has improved the emotional expressiveness of emojis. By choosing an emoji and long-pressing the send button, a slider will appear allowing users to increase the size and animate the emoji.
Users can update to the latest version of Google Allo through the Google Play store.
