Google Integrating Third Party Reviews in Local Search Results

Google has been observed integrating reviews from third-party sources in the Knowledge Graph cards for Google My Business listings.

Reviews from sites like TripAdvisor have started to appear on Knowledge Graph cards for hotels and resorts, alongside reviews left directly on Google.

This update differs from an earlier enhancement this year where Google began aggregating reviews from third-party sites within the “Reviews” tab. Now, third-party reviews are also visible after clicking on “View all reviews,” a location they previously did not appear in.

As shown in the screenshot above, reviews include the full text and the source where they were originally published. If the full text of a third-party review doesn’t fit, there will be a link to read the full review at the original source.

Furthermore, reviews can be filtered by source through the “All reviews” drop-down menu. Options include sources like Google, Expedia, Booking.com, Agoda, and Hotels.com.
