Google Empowers Musicians to Post Directly in Search Results

Google has introduced an update to its search results that allows musicians to instantly publish short updates on the front page of search results.

This new capability is facilitated through Google Posts, a feature that also supports small businesses in publishing updates to search results.

Initially, the feature is being rolled out to select musicians from the pop and electronic dance music genres. However, any musician with a Knowledge Panel can now utilize Google Posts if they choose to.

Currently, searching for these musicians will showcase examples of their use of Google Posts:
– Lorde
– Steve Aoki
– Sia
– Son Little
– Sofi Tukker
– Shakira
– Kygo

Updates from these musicians will be displayed within their respective Knowledge Panels, which typically appear when the artist’s name is specifically searched for.

Musicians will have the ability to publish text, images, videos, and GIFs. A blue checkmark will signify updates from verified musicians.

This feature is now live in Google search results worldwide.
