Google’s flagship app for iOS has been updated with several key new features, including one that might surprise users with its prior absence.
Google version 17.0 for iOS now includes a forward button. Incredibly, up until now, users had no way to navigate forward after going back a page or two. While it’s baffling why it took so long to introduce this feature, it’s finally available.
The updated Google app also allows users to go back up to seven days in their search history. Previously, users could only view their search history for a maximum of 24 hours. This change was made based on user feedback.
To view your history, tap the icon in the top right-hand corner of the home page. It can also be accessed to the right of the “G” button at the bottom of the screen.
Additionally, demonstrating the importance of voice search, Google has enhanced its voice search capabilities. The app now performs better in noisy environments, making the user experience more efficient and user-friendly.
As of now, this update is only available for iOS devices, including iPhones, iPads, and iPods.
