Google is enhancing search results by expanding key components and introducing new ways to discover relevant content.
You’ll now see more content in Featured Snippets, suggestions for related content in Knowledge Panels, and a new related topics carousel.
Featured Snippets
Featured snippets now include more images, offering a visually richer search experience. Additionally, suggestions for related searches can appear within featured snippets.
The expanded featured snippets will not appear for all searches; they will only be shown for selected snippets.
Knowledge Panels
Knowledge Panels have been enhanced with related searches. Users can now see what “people also search for” directly within the entity’s knowledge panel.
Related Topics
A new carousel of related topics may appear at the top of search results after multiple searches have been conducted.
For instance, if you search for the name of a movie and then click on one of the “people also search for” suggestions, a carousel of topics related to both searches might appear.
These updates, all designed to help users find content relevant to their initial search, are now live in search results.
