Google’s latest feature in search results showcases celebrities answering frequently asked questions about themselves.
When searching for information about a celebrity, you might find a selfie-style video of the individual responding to common queries. These videos are embedded within search results and initially autoplay without sound. Tapping on the video enlarges it to fill the screen and enables audio playback.
Google is testing this new feature with a group of well-known personalities and up-and-coming stars. The pilot group includes:
– Priyanka Chopra
– Will Ferrell
– Tracee Ellis Ross
– Gina Rodriguez
– Kenan Thompson
– Allison Williams
– Nick Jonas
– Mark Wahlberg
– James Franco
– Seth MacFarlane
– Jonathan Yeo
– Dominique Ansel
This is just a taste of what’s to come, as Google plans to add more of these videos over the coming months.
Google might also extend this feature to other countries in the future. Currently, the self-shot celebrity Q&A videos are available only in US search results on mobile devices.
