Building on the feed feature introduced in December, Google is now allowing users to follow specific topics of interest.
After searching for subjects such as movies, TV shows, sports teams, musicians, and celebrities, you will see a “Follow” button that enables you to add the topic to your feed.

Additionally, Google has enhanced its personalized feed using improved machine learning algorithms, which are better at predicting what might interest individual users.
Alongside stories selected both manually and through algorithms, the feed will also showcase trending stories in your area and worldwide.
Google’s machine learning will gauge a person’s level of interest in various subjects, which will influence the number of stories that are curated. For example, if you have a greater interest in sports than cooking, your feed will reflect that preference. If Google gets it wrong, you can easily unfollow a topic with a simple tap.
Google will strive to provide news stories from various sources, ensuring diverse perspectives and multiple viewpoints.
Users in the US can experience the new feed feature by opening the Google app on both Android and iOS devices. An international rollout is anticipated in a couple of weeks.
