Google Allows Businesses to Add Customized Services to GMB Listings

Google My Business has introduced an update allowing service-based businesses to specify the types of services they offer to customers.

The platform will provide a selection of suggested services to choose from. For instance, plumbers may see options like “Install faucet” or “Repair toilet” listed.

Google believes that having standardized job types will make it easier for customers to find the specific services they need. For businesses, adding a list of service types is expected to generate more relevant leads.

If a particular service is not listed in Google’s suggestions, businesses can add their own custom services by following these steps:
1. Sign in to Google My Business.
2. Open the location you’d like to manage.
3. From the menu, click Info.
4. In the “Services” section, click ‘Edit.’
5. Add your services.
