The next time you conduct a Google image search on mobile, you’ll notice the inclusion of new filters designed to help you narrow down your search in various ways.
These new Google search filters on mobile allow you to refine your queries by recently uploaded images, clip art, GIFs, and image color.
Here’s an example of what you see when you first land on the new mobile image search:
[Image]After tapping on the “latest” image filter, the results seem to be filtered both chronologically and algorithmically. For instance, an image from four days ago might rank higher than an image from two days ago, with several examples showcasing this pattern.

[Image]In my testing, I can confirm that these new filters are live in Google’s image search for Chrome and Safari on mobile. However, the filters do not appear to be active in the Google Search app or desktop search.
