Google My Business is launching a new feature to help business owners showcase positive reviews. This feature will automatically suggest positive reviews that can be shared as customer testimonials through Google Posts.
These suggestions will appear when signing in to Google My Business and may even be sent to business owners via email notifications. Only recent reviews with either 4- or 5-star ratings will be suggested, and business owners have the option to edit the reviews before publishing them.
Google has announced that this feature is rolling out in certain countries. However, the specific countries gaining access have not been disclosed.
Google Posts are an effective way to share positive reviews. Besides appearing on a business’s Google My Business page, they may also be shown on Maps and in search results. By default, posts remain live on Search for seven days after publication and can be set to be visible for up to 14 days. Therefore, checking for new reviews at least once a week is advisable.
Posts can include CTAs (calls to action), which can be used strategically when sharing reviews. For example, if a customer leaves a rave review about a particular service, a CTA with a link to that service page can be added. Posts can also include up to 10 images and videos, adding more context to a review when applicable.
There have been no reports yet of anyone having access to this feature, so its availability might not be widespread currently. As it has just launched, it may take some time for business owners to notice they have access.
