Offline Search & Turn-By-Turn Navigation Come To Google Mobile Maps

Earlier this year, at Google’s May developer conference, the company announced that Google Maps search and turn-by-turn navigation will be available offline. Today, this capability is starting to roll out to Android users and will later be available to iOS users. Users will be able to search Maps offline and get directions even with a weak or non-existent connection.
